This non-rusting sand anchor is a perfect addition to your new beach umbrella! This sand anchor will help secure your beach umbrella on those windy days.

A large over-size thumbscrew conveniently locks against any inserted pole 1.5-inches or less in diameter. It is light-weight, safe, and will easily fit into a beach bag. The continuous spiral blade pulls the auger downward when turned clockwise. It is long enough to reach through loose sand to secure beach umbrellas that will withstand very windy conditions. Turning it in the opposite direction will release it from the sand.

Review for the beefy AUGER - AND THE KNOB THAT'S NEVER PICTURED!

I posted a 5-star review for the umbrella already, so this is for the auger. What you DON'T SEE is the large knob on the other side of the images, which is what you turn with your hand to tighten the internal horizontal screw against the umbrella pole that sits inside the auger. That single, large internal plastic screw keeps the umbrella pole tightly secured inside the auger. The screw inside the auger pushes the umbrella pole against the inside of the auger, not into a hole in the umbrella pole or anything. Not even the manufacturer has a picture of the knob, or inside screw. Horrible marketing, just ******. I almost didn't buy it, because I had no clue how the umbrella stays securely inside the auger. THE INTERNAL AUGER SCREW IS BEEFY, and looks like it'll never come close to breaking. Also, there are 2 HOLES on the neck of the auger (seen in pics). We took a small cable key chain and ran it through one of the holes, then attached a small caribiner to the cable key chain it so we could then clip the auger to the umbrella carrier's handle. AUGER WONT FIT INTO UMBRELLA CARRYING CASE. We haven't used the auger yet, but it looks like this best will do the job!

Must Have this Sand Anchor to hold umbrella securely

Hello from Kauai, I took my new umbrella, along with the Sand Anchor, to the beach at Kalapaki Bay Kauai today. The anchor and umbrella worked great, not one time did the umbrella fly away in the wind. Beach volleyball is my passion but when I'm not on the court I need to protect myself from the sun's rays. My UV-Blocker Umbrella allows me to relax in the shade between games. Thanks for designing such an awesome product. Aloha
