Frequently Asked Questions

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed. UPF measurements of fabrics are generally tested by spectrophotometer equipment. For example, a fabric with a UPF rating of 50 only allows 1/50th of the sun's UV radiation to pass through it. This means that this fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure by 50 times (98% UV block) in areas where the skin is protected by the fabric. One big advantage of the UPF standard is that both UVA AND UVB rays are measured. Our fabric has been tested to repel 99% of the sun's UV radiation with a UPF rating of 55+. UV-Blocker umbrellas provide the highest protection available in the market. A copy of this certification is availabble upon request.
The beach umbrella has a patented Vented Mesh System that lets the wind pass between the upper and lower canopies. This makes the beach umbrella very stable in high winds preventing inversion. The beach umbrella is constructed with all fiberglass ribs and spreaders and 32mm two pieces white powder coated non-corroding heavy-duty frame, making the umbrella very flexible and durable on windy days.
The sand anchor has a large over-size thumbscrew conveniently locks against any inserted pole 1.5-inches or less in diameter. It is light-weight, safe, and will easily fit into a beach bag. The continuous spiral blade pulls the auger downward when turned clockwise. It is long enough to reach through loose sand to secure beach umbrellas that will withstand very windy conditions. Turning it in the opposite direction will release it from the sand.
