The kit uses a RAM Press-N-Lock base that wedges directly into your kayak or boat's existing flush-mount rod holder tube — turning any standard rod holder into a rock-solid umbrella mount. Insert, lock, angle, and paddle. Both hands free.

How to Set Up (3 Steps)
- Insert the base — Press the RAM Press-N-Lock base into your kayak or boat's flush-mount rod holder tube. It wedges in snugly — no tools, no screws.
- Attach the tube — Connect the UV-Blocker RAM tube onto the ball of the Press-N-Lock base. The ball-and-socket joint gives you full directional control.
- Insert & open the umbrella — Slide the 62" Golf Umbrella into the RAM tube, open the canopy, and lock it in place with the large thumb screw. Done.

Do I need to drill any holes?
No. The system uses your existing rod holder tube as the mount. Nothing permanent, no modification to the kayak.
Will it hold in choppy water?
The RAM mount is rated for vibration and impact, and the snug adapters minimize rattle. That said, this kit is designed for calm to moderate conditions — flat water, slow rivers, and protected bays. We don't recommend it for rough offshore or whitewater use.
Can I use a different UV-Blocker umbrella?
The RAM tube holder accommodates UV-Blocker umbrella shafts. The kit ships with the 62" Golf Umbrella. If you already own a compatible UV-Blocker umbrella, contact us to ask about the holder-only option.
Does it work on a canoe or SUP?
It works on any watercraft with a flush-mount rod holder tube in the 1.5"–1.875" range. Many fishing canoes and some SUPs have these. Check your vessel's rod holder specs before ordering.

Yes. The RAM Press-N-Lock base is rated for vibration and impact — the same system used by law enforcement and marine professionals. The ball-and-socket joint locks firmly in position. We recommend angling the canopy slightly into the wind when paddling. Customers have used this in light to moderate chop with no issues.
